What size power station runs a CPAP?

With the heated humidifier on, a ResMed AirSense 11 needs about 587 Wh of capacity per 8-hour night at our assumptions. Turn the humidifier off and the need drops a lot.

The numbers

ResMed's technical specs for the AirSense 11 list typical 56.1 W and peak 73.2 W power consumption with its 65 W power supply. Champion lists a CPAP without heat at 30–60 W. We use the 45 W midpoint, which is conservative. Some owners report far lower measured draw with heat off.

CPAP with heated humidifier (ResMed AirSense 11): 56.1 W × 1 × 8 h = 448.8 Wh → ÷ 0.85 = 528.0 Wh from battery Capacity: 528.0 Wh × 1 day ÷ 0.9 usable = 587 Wh Continuous: 73.2 W Surge: 73.2 W

Assumptions: 85% inverter efficiency, 90% of rated capacity usable, no extra margin. Both are planning values, not measurements, and you can change them in the calculator.
